Job Description:
1. Maintain a clean and safe play environment.
2. Engage/participate in children's play activities with active supervision
3. Develop lesson plan based on ELDG guidelines for children age five(5) and below.
4. Establish daily routine and implement lesson plans while demonstrating effective classroom environment
5. Communicate with children's parents or guardians about daily activities, behaviors, and related concerns through journal, online application (Lillio), email, and schedule conferences as needed.
6. Support children's emotional and social development, encouraging understanding of others and a positive self-concept.
7. Dress children and change diapers by following approved health and safety practices.
8. Keep records of individual children, including daily observations and information about activities, meals served, and
medication administered through our daily health checks, logs, care logs, lesson plans, and medication administration form.
9. Conduct development screening 30 to 45 days from the admission date to identify delays and recommend action based on the assessment.
10. Instruct children in health and personal habits, such as eating, resting, and toilet habits. Organize and Store Toys and materials to ensure order in activity areas.
11. Perform housekeeping duties such as;
11A. Cleaning and sanitizing toys, learning materials and play equipment used by children on a daily basis.
11B. Wiping, Sanitizing and disinfecting classroom tables, chairs, and activity surfaces before and after meals, snacks and classroom activities.
11C.. Washing and sanitizing children's cups, utensils, and dishes used during meals and snacks.
11D. Cleaning, Sanitizing and Disinfecting diaper changing areas, sleeping cots and child restroom areas after use in accordance with childcare standards.
11E. Organizing and maintaining cleanliness of classroom areas and play spaces after activities.
11F.. Laundering classroom items used by children, such as fitted crib/cot sheets, bibs, towels or cleaning cloths when necessary.
12.Demonstrate ethical behavior and confidentiality of information about students in daycare environment and community.
13.Maintains a cooperative working relationship with children, parents, staff and public.
